1 :

SENIOR ESTIMATOR (HYBRID)

We are hiring an experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to join and strengthen our preconstruction team! This is a senior-level role for someone who takes pride in estimating with accuracy, consistency, and a documented process on projects ranging from $1M to $20M.

Pay is competitive based on mastery, and there is opportunity to advance within the company. This position requires 40-50 hours a week, Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and will concentrate on these areas:

  1. Lead full-cycle estimating for commercial and industrial projects from initial review through bid submission

  2. Evaluate project risk, scope, and bid strategy in partnership with leadership

  3. Work within and continuously improve our established estimating systems and workflows

  4. Ensure clean, documented handoffs from preconstruction to operations

  5. Analyze historical cost data to improve margin accuracy 

  6. Maintain consistent standards for estimate quality, format, and timeliness

  7. Collaborate daily with a dedicated estimating team

 

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following qualities:

  • A growth mindset that continues education in technical and leadership skills

  • Minimum 5 years of commercial construction estimating experience

  • Strong working knowledge of means & methods, cost drivers, and subcontractor scopes

  • Well-versed in Procore & Sage 100 or comparable estimating software (Sage 100 is our platform)

  • Detail-oriented and organized — you keep clean records and consistent processes

  • Reliable, proactive, time-disciplined, possess a sense of urgency 

  • Comfortable presenting numbers and assumptions clearly

  • Identify problems, document them, and fix them systematically

2 :

CARPENTER

Are you a master craftsman or on the path to becoming one?  Hackel Construction is looking for you to join our team! This position requires the knowledge, application, and execution of interior and exterior finishing skills. Pay is competitive based on mastery, and there is an opportunity to advance within the company. This position requires 40-50 hours a week, Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and will concentrate on four key areas:

  1. The ability to frame and install roofing, siding, soffit, and fascia

  2. The ability to install interior finishes, cabinets, and trim

  3. The ability to maintain a safe, organized job site

  4. The ability to positively communicate with customers and the construction team

 

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following qualities:

  • A growth mindset that continues education in technical and leadership skills

  • The ability to self-govern and successfully complete projects

  • Be detail-oriented, organized, and systematic

  • Actively listen and clearly communicate information

  • Be a team player who works well with others to accomplish daily goals

  • Possess excellent framing and finishing skills

  • Understand and utilize relevant technology in daily operations

  • Possesses a minimum of five years of experience in interior/exterior finishing and/or an Associate degree in Construction
